Knowing the feeling of thirst is a common human sensation. Although this thirst is physical, you might have also experienced an emotional or spiritual thirst that can’t be satisfied by a tall glass of water. This longing is present within all of us, and unless we discover the thing that will quench our thirst, we won’t be satisfied completely.

The well containing the water that our souls thirst for is found in the Holy Bible, which was written by the Author of all life and history. In this text, God speaks of the life that He desires for us so that we can learn more about who we are and what we can become.

The Holy Bible mentions humanity’s thirst for a specific remedy. We often try to satisfy this longing by engulfing ourselves with distractions. These distractions aren’t remedies, they’re candy. They offer temporary refreshment only and keep us at the candy jar. Instead of remaining frozen in place, consumed by distractions, we’re meant to drink from the well that will never run dry. This well is found in the purposeful, life-giving path that God has prepared for us.
